Short Courses
Cape Nail and Beauty Academy offers various short courses in all aspects of Beauty Therapy.
Short Courses run from Monday – Saturday (08h30 – 13h30)
Short Courses run contineously throughout the year meaning the student can start at any time of the year. Students are able to choose the days that suit them; no prior booking is required.
We donʼt have a registration fee, the price of the course includes everything the
student needs to complete the course.
Manicure & Pedicure
Theory & practical training.
Includes: comprehensive kit, textbook and certificate on completion.
The student will learn to perform a complete manicure and pedicure.
Nail Tech: Acrylic
Theory & practical training
Includes: comprehensive kit, textbook and certificate on completion.
The student will learn how to apply tips with acrylic overlays.
Nail Tech (Basic): Gel
Theory & practical training
Includes: comprehensive kit including gel lamp, textbook and certificate on completion.
The student will learn how to apply tips and build the nail with a rubber base, as well as build on the natural nail and gel overlays. Basic nail art/trending designs included.
Nail Tech (Comprehensive): Gel
Theory & practical training
Includes: kit, notes & certificate on completion.
The student will learn two advanced gel systems, hybrid gel and soft tip application. Does not include a gel lamp.

Electric Nail Filing
Theory & practical training
Includes: kit (including e-file & bits), notes & certificate on completion
The student will learn how to e-file safely, this includes cuticle work, filing the nails and time-saving tips in the salon.
pre-requisite – any nail technology course / qualified nail tech
Holistic Massage Therapy
Theory & practical training
Includes: textbook and certificate on completion.
The student will learn how to perform the full body sequence massage; including pre-care, home-care advice and various specialised treatments.
Hot Stone Therapy
Theory & practical training
Includes: textbook and certificate on completion.
The student will learn how to perform hot stone therapy on the full body.
Pre-requisite – Holistic Massage Therapy
Waxing
Theory & practical training
Includes: kit, textbook and certificate on completion.
The student will learn the apply both strip and hot wax on all parts of the body; including pre and post-care training.
Facial Skin Care
Theory & practical training
Includes: Comprehensive kit, textbook and certificate on completion
The student will learn the full facial sequence; pre and home-care advice
Lash lift, brow lamination, tinting & shaping
Theory & Practical Training
Includes: Comprehensive kit, notes and certificate on completion.
The student will learn the full technique of lash lifting, brow lamination, tinting and shaping
Eye Lash Extensions
Theory & practical training
Includes: comprehensive kit, textbook and certificate on completion.
The student will learn to apply lashes that look natural, including post-care training.
Threading
Theory & practical training
Includes: kit, notes and certificate on completion.
The student will learn how to shape the eyebrows and remove unwanted hair. Including pre- and post-care training.
Brow & Lash Tinting
Theory & Practical training
Includes: Comprehensive kit, notes and certificate on completion.
The student will learn how to perform a eyebrow and eyelash tinting.

Makeup
Theory & Practical training
Includes: Comprehensive kit, notes and certificate on completion.
The student will learn day, evening, & wedding/bridal make-up; including false eyelashes.
